Dry resinous, spicy, woody. Pine in the background and unfortunately a bit of cumin sweat. Their other scents are definitely nicer.

I don't know that one. Some JR fragrances are quite angular and edgy!

I suspect that the 2017 version is also a new batch of the fragrance Caruthers Canyon. The beauty of the scent I see here is definitely darker than, for example, Siskiyou, but also very enticing...
