Who dares to enter the Hermes boutique with vanilla pudding?
"Al Mazyoona" combines vanilla with leather in a rather blatant and simple way, reminding one more than a little of "Raghba" and smelling not much more expensive than its extremely low price. For vanilla lovers, this is no reason not to give it a try. What it aims to do, it does well. However, it simply doesn't impress me, and unfortunately, there is always a hint of cheapness about it. Or a wobbly vanilla pudding. Just as one prefers.
One can imagine the gold-red scent somewhat like a pudding snail, only instead of dough, there is wannabe-Hermes-like, light leather. It's fine, it's appealing, it's tasty. But the final kick to make it a top fragrance is missing, as well as sophistication and high-quality ingredients. What remains is a budget tip and a treat for in-between moments and small wallets. It's worth testing. Not a must-have.
Bottle: Packaging too large, colors too strong, cap too cheap - overall rather unnecessarily "on the nose"
Sillage: when one hears vanilla and leather, a lot is expected, but it is more of a scent of quieter tones. Sometimes it can come off as cheap.
Longevity: 7 hours speak a contrary language to the bargain price
Conclusion: definitely worth a test for vanilla enthusiasts, and at this price, perhaps even worth a blind buy. The rest will pass by with a shrug and will rather focus on quality over quantity.
