..the old wooden floor creaked in the antique shop under the bear paws...
After my statement 8 months ago, I wanted to test Hayat again with some distance. A certain scent, which I had never smelled again, has imprinted itself on me. Upon spraying, Hayat smells almost like glue with a slightly animalistic note. It took about a quarter of an hour for the wonderful woody scent to first shimmer through. At the beginning, the perfume still seems slightly sweet and fresh (lavender?). I also noticed a berry note. However, the scents disappear over the course of the next few hours. It develops into a very heavy woody/resinous scent (almost like furniture polish) that literally tickles the nose. I wonder if that could actually be Oud, as I have never smelled anything like this in any test. Perhaps molecule 01 or Ambroxan was mixed in? The scent certainly does not seem natural to me as it is so intense. It fascinated me so much that I had to keep smelling my clothes throughout the day. By the way, the scent easily lasts 2-3 days on fabric. Since I now know several other fragrances and my sense of smell has probably changed a bit, I simply have to raise my rating by half a point to 9. If the price weren't so high, I would definitely go for it. For now, I am still on the lookout for a more affordable Oud scent that smells just as wonderfully woody.
