but I just find the scent terrible ...
and I really tried it often, often ...
gifted to me by an acquaintance who also didn't like it and thought I might give it a new home ...
Black for Her shattered my nasal mucosa every time ...
too many flowers, too strong a mix, a horrifically piercing herb that I can't categorize, a penetrating freshness ...
and it just didn't get any better ...
truly Black for me, because it was very close to fainting ...
Then came the association from my best friend :
"reminds me of the scent of the air freshener in my grandma's bathroom"
and I knew: Man, yes, that's where I know the scent from ...
and I sold it at the flea market ...
the girls actually fought over it and it went for a decent price over the counter ...
I had rather expected that everyone would decline it with disgusted faces but very firmly ...
All I can say is:
Thank God scent preferences are different,
Thank God our different noses experience the scents of this world very differently ...
That's why I'm really happy that so many here love Black for Her unconditionally ...
but I hate the scent ... that's just how it is!
One of the best fragrances I've ever had/still have. I discovered it back in 2003, bought 15 ml at Douglas for just €15, and the next day I got 100 ml for only €50. I still have some left. And the compliments I received when I was out in the city! Unfortunately, it's no longer available. There's a different version now, more expensive, with a black cap, and the pyramid is completely different.
I just applied some from a sample, knowing that at least 5 flowers are very "risky" for me, and it’s really yuck! No warmth, just a super bright-sweet floral mix. You’re right!
