Kenneth Cole for Him Kenneth Cole 2018

There are tons of reviews in English-speaking forums, but I searched in vain for reviews in German.

Kenneth Cole was known to me as a designer in the mid-range price segment. However, I had never perceived the brand as a fragrance brand.

You won't find the scent in local perfumeries or drugstores, so I came across it through a blind buy in an online shop.

In the description, we read about citrus, mineral accords, wood, and floral notes. It sounds great, but somehow also a bit vague.

But how does it smell now?
At the start, we are surprised by a strong alcoholic note.
This initially startled me, but fortunately, it dissipates very quickly.

We also immediately perceive a citrus note. This does not come off as artificial and is quickly joined by soft woods and sharp ginger.

After the dry down, a bit of jasmine and amber join in.
I cannot perceive the mineral accords.

The sillage is decent, but not outstanding. The longevity is around 6-7 hours.

Overall, a high-quality "shower gel freshy" that does not come off as cheap. It is super fresh, but not aquatic!

It was extremely cheap < 35€/100ml.

It immediately seemed familiar to me, but I couldn't place it.
This made me ponder, and I went through my entire collection.

Hit! with Coach for men "ahhh of course"
Hit! with Dylan blue "really now?...oh yes, of course"

The similarity to Coach for men is truly remarkable. However, it lacks the geranium and leather.

For me, Coach is in the same genre as Dylan blue. Dylan blue has a slight sweetness, which can also be found in Kenneth Cole for him.

Conclusion: Good, fresh cheapy. Grade 3+
This scent will probably never annoy anyone, but it also won't knock anyone off their feet.
Absolute all-rounder that can be worn anywhere, except for black tie.
