A great aquatic that really fits the term - and maybe one of the first ??
I've been really curious about this one since some users starting hyping it several years ago, last month I was so lucky to catch a vintage bottle from 1996 and it's definitely not disappointing. Fresh and slightly spicy, and kinda like walking at the shoreline with water, seaweed, a little iodine, ozone, musk and all. Not the usual soapy sweet aquatic, but more of the musky, ever so dirty mineral laden scent of seawater. The oakmoss gives it a nice more natural touch, after a little plastic-y opening. The closest resemblance I can think of is Aramis New West, but the Kenzo is not as sweet. Funny thing is, it's actually so unique that you can recognize it anywhere, even though it's mixed up of a ton of notes.
I wonder if the current formulation is - at least somewhat - identical ? Will have to try it out at a retailer in the nearest future.
