Patchouli on Fruity Paths....
Since the fragrances of the Khaltat series from MHG are exclusively available in Dubai or the Emirates, I found a victim who brought me the scent in the oil version.
The series deals with the theme of 'love' in various languages, including German. Ai stands for Japanese love.
The fragrance starts with a fruit mix of fresh mandarin and apricot, without turning into a sweet mush. In the undertone, patchouli can already be sensed. This fruit mix remains linear, which I personally don't mind. Once the patchouli becomes more dominant, but doesn't overpower the fruit mix, the fragrance shows its most beautiful side. It's wonderful how it brings an army of perpetual smiles to the face.
Tauer's similar counterpart “Fruitchouli Flash” comes quite close to Ai, although Ai features the finer patchouli.
Ai is a feel-good fragrance of the calmer kind. The longevity and sillage are moderate to lasting, without ever becoming annoying.
Thumbs up for this fragrance experience. I will raise the rating by half a point, to 9.5. It's a shame that the scent/fragrances are only available in the Arab Emirates!
