Somewhat linear "Moth Repellent"

Please don't stone me! I don't want to say too much about "A taste of Heaven," as much has already been said. I'm actually quite open to lavender in fragrances and usually find it very pleasant, but since "A taste of Heaven" consists almost exclusively of lavender in my opinion, I had to wash it off.

The bottle is exceptionally beautiful, just like every Kilian, and the greenish color adds to the name. But if heaven is supposed to taste like this, then I would prefer to go somewhere else. The opening is exceptionally nice. A superb lavender note that shows itself at times and then briefly hides again. A constant interplay. Every time the lavender note rises, I thought to myself, "The fragrance wants to show that it is permanently there." Essentially, it's like a friend who is always by your side and comes forward in those moments. (The calming effect of this plant species cannot be denied. In the evenings on the couch, I have dozed off a few times, which is absolutely uncharacteristic for me). After about 1 hour, I also notice something from the heart of this fragrance, but never particularly much. Either my olfactory nerves were already out of action at that point, or simply too much lavender was added. And so the fragrance turns out to be very one-sided, extremely linear. One must admit the Kilian-typical and exceptionally good longevity of the fragrance, but given my annoyance with the lavender, that was not a positive aspect for me. I would say it lasts about 10 hours.

All in all, a very demanding fragrance. I think "A taste of Heaven" will find some buyers, but for my nose, it's not something I can handle in the long run. I still give it 50% because I fundamentally like lavender, but here it is just "too much" for me.

If there were a little less lavender in it, I would call it a nice lavender-scented fragrance.

I like it, but I can't wear it too often.

I feel the same way about the scent, even though I'm a fan of Kilian.

Where can you buy these mothballs? ;)

I definitely have to agree - a lovely fresh lavender at first, then it transitions and lingers in a static, musty, powdery mothball state, at least on me. Unfortunately, I was disappointed...
