I must say right away that my harsh criticism of this fragrance has nothing to do with my affinity for Kilian. I actually love Kilian, especially because of my number 1 Back to Black.
If you want to know what Black Oud smells like, just go to a supermarket and buy a bottle of Osbourne Medium Dry Sherry. This brandy smells exactly like Black Oud, and I suspect that this creation by Kilian smells really good in his own Hennessy nose. But I find this fragrance horrendously overpowering and far too much like brandy.
It's quite simple; the fragrance starts off breathtakingly interesting but transforms within a few minutes into pure brandy scent. With a matured Medium Dry Sherry note.
Now imagine going on a business trip with this or meeting an attractive woman in the evening. It doesn't matter; I suspect that everyone I come into contact with while wearing this fragrance must assume that I have alcohol problems. Kilian, I really like you, but this was just not it at all.
I didn't mean that Sherry smells like brandy, but it smells like Sherry and brandy; you can't really differentiate between the two. I'd say it's about 1/3 Chantrè and 2/3 Sherry. Dyslexic or not, I write how I think.
Sherry is not a brandy, and before you label a whole group of people as drunks and stinkers, you should work on your German; your comments are full of spelling mistakes.
-I found your comment delightful, it made me laugh out loud-
-Keep it up!!!!!
