Kiton Red EDP

My first review. The original version of this classic was my constant companion for more than 20 years. Through all the ups and downs, like a good friend who I always appreciated but often didn't feel like having around. Nevertheless, I always had a well-filled 125 bottle to hand. Suddenly, 2 years ago, the shock news "discontinued"! Suddenly a world collapsed for me, I snooped through all the designers, found nothing that was comparable and none of it brought back the familiar feeling and the constant compliments. Then finally the news that it was back, I hesitated for a long time and sprayed it on today in the Kiton store in HH with the fear that it might not evoke the old feeling. When I asked, they confirmed that the fragrance was not supposed to be reformulated but that customers had pushed so hard for it that Kiton finally caved in. They wanted to establish a new niche fragrance series, but the other fragrances in the new collection didn't pick me up at all. The Napoli is not even remotely comparable to its predecessor. And there it was, Kiton Red, on my other wrist I had one of the penultimate spritzes of the original for comparison. What can I say, it's as if a new engine with at least 1/3 more power and modern technology had been installed in an old Italian sports car. I celebrate this reinterpreted classic that has lost none of its old DNA. It picks you up immediately and takes you right to the end of the line. Here's to the next twenty years of Signature fragrance :-) The price is more than steep, but in this case I see myself as a willing victim of blackmail.
