...but like it, too
As a homo, I don't really go in for the classic masculine thing. It’s just not queer enough. I’m more of a ‘cafeteria’ male. Whether I measure up or not, I’ll take what I like from masculinity and leave the rest. Femininity as well, for that matter. Gentlemanly, yes. Boorish, no. Sports, no, but also Broadway musicals, no. It gets confusing, yes?

But Knize Ten is pretty and strapping in equal measure. If this is what it is to be a man, sign me up.

I’ve finally found a socially acknowledged manly fragrance that I’ll buy into without reservation. (Well, current masculinity is bound to look a bit like dandy-drag on me, but at least it's not such bad theater as the whole-hog Ralph Lauren anglo-psychodrama.)

Wonderfully scottish
Good that, at the moment, I am looking after the home alone.
I have misappropriated the good Scottish Islay single-painting whiskey of my husband. This has made more fun secret.
The handle to the bottle had to be.
I love this whiskey since he tastes very earthily and still more smoky.
This was the transition to Knize Ten.

One is the smell for me with this whiskey. Actually a bottle should directly be hidden in the packing at every bottle of whiskey. And this pair has a leather box as packing. Yes, earth, much smoke and much leather, shows itself Knize Ten so. Much later completely shows himself easy, mild sweet one.
I love this composition and could put me in proverbially.
Not ladylike? I don't care.

Viennese refined
Scentrack: Anton Karas - A Third Man Theme

Unlike Knize tailor shop Knize perfumery is still firmly going on. This is perfume of middle European well mannered gentlemen. Nothing explosive is here, every note is well polished. Leather with some oily aspect dominates from the opening. Warm amber, sandalwood and flowers and other notes are melted really nice.
One of the last old school scents playing double game. In one moment leather has some sweet fruity undertones (strawberry), in next it reminds me of oily mechanic's garage. Every modern perfume owes something to this legend. Maybe the famous gasoline note of Fahrenheit was inspired by Knize. Antaeus definitely has a role model in Knize Ten.
Moustaches, coffee, Sacher cake and Knize. A perfect Mittel European sunny weekend in old, imperial Vienna.

Knize Ten
A very sophisticated leather.
Wearing this envokes the feeling of late 18th century to early 19th century atsitrocacy.
Imagine hunting fowl in the countryside or picnicking by a brook in late winter.

Starts out fresh and leathery and then develops into a vivid floral bouquet wrapped in a leather sheath that was laying in a spice pantry.

Knize / Knize Ten
Real old school. Macho scent from the 80s - that's what I associate with, but really - it's a scent from the 20s of the twentieth century ... nice what? Made in Austria by a 19th century Viennese tailor born with Mr. Coty (yes, that Coty). The work is amazing, and even more amazing is that after 100 years you can perfume it and smell exceptionally beautiful, masculine, extraordinary, delicious and attract attention. I recommend this fragrance to men 30+ and rather to suit or casual wear with a shirt and a jacket in the lead role.
A multi-component fragrance - flowers, spices, sandalwood, musk, patchouli and, above all, leather and what is it. One of the best leather fragrances.
Projection is large and the fragrance lasts up to 12 hours.
As a curiosity, I would like to mention that Andy Tauer modeled himself on these perfumes (his favorites), creating some of his works.
Until recently, unfortunately, you could only buy it outside our borders, but it is already in one perfumery in Poland and you can order it there. So 'leather noses' and men who like old school fragrances in an extremely rich edition - take and try because it's worth it.

This tarry leather with herbs, spice and petrochemical aspects is pitch-dark and incredibly primal.

One of the best perfumes ever created. A classical leather accord combining carnation, spices and animalics such as castoreum. Superb! 5/5

Tons of leather, hint of herbs, sligthly dirty/animalic with warm amber in the background. Very sexy and masculine.

Takes my nose straight a public bathroom. Must be because this frag predates/influenced the scent I associate w/used urinal cakes (?). Awful

Oh come on, this year it’s all about leather!
Fiaker to the infamous villa?
