Once upon a time, there was a little chicken that discovered the Parfumo community on the vast worldwide web a few years ago. It quickly wanted to test many of the fragrances described and praised on these pages. Thus, a sample of Amouage Reflection Man found its way to its little house, and the chicken with the violet feathers fell in love with the scent immediately. This wonderful orange blossom, adorned with a bit of jasmine and resting on sandalwood musk, had sneaked into the chicken's heart, so it didn't take long for a large bottle to also make its way to the chicken. However, this fragrance that had arrived in Chickenland smelled different. While there were indeed the fine flowers and the fluffy-woody musk, there was also a very prominent coumarin note. Additionally, the patchouli in this version seemed to have much more to say than it had in the sample vial. Unfortunately, the chicken was not happy with the scent in the bottle and sold it after only wearing it twice.
For a long time, it had not thought about this fragrance experience, but then it happened that a wizard from the house of Krigler had created another scent, which it discovered in the statements of a particularly animal-loving Parfuma. The Parfuma also had a weakness for little chickens and sent it a few test drops of this magical fragrance with the enchanting name Abrakaadabra 221.
The chicken sniffed and - bang - was immediately thrown back to the beginning of its Parfumo time. There was this scent that it had found so beautiful, which it had not rediscovered in this form. There was an orange blossom, even if the notes of Abrakaadabra 221 claimed otherwise. The chicken was nonetheless sure that it was there. Or the bergamot used here, in combination with the wonderful aldehydes, evoked exactly this gentle scent that constantly reminded it of the fabric softener used by its mother hen when it had still been a small, yellow, fluffy chick. Added to that was at least as beautiful a sandalwood scent. A bit of vanilla and tonka provided a lovely, warm, soft, and sweet spiciness. Not a gourmand, the chicken thought, but a soft, warm, sensual, and sunny oriental. The chicken was delighted, as this magical scent smelled almost just like that incredibly beautiful sample back then for its little beak.
Magic? Yes, it does indeed exist sometimes. At least in the Parfumo and fragrance universe.

A big thank you to Gandix for the testing opportunity. There is indeed a lot of similarity to the Reflection Man that I received for testing purposes back then. Whether it will be enough for the collection of the chicken with the violet feathers still needs to be tested further. After some mispurchases, the chicken is usually very cautious. And at this price, I think that's appropriate.
In my mind's eye, Gilderoy Lockhart flies by and exclaims, "It's like magic!" - he would have loved to read this text and would have been happy for you.
For very rich chicks, honey... My daughter was in the Krigler boutique very close to Trump's Tower... - took loads of pictures... and bought a soap. Abracadabra... I wanna reach out and grab you... 😜
Beautifully written, the enthusiasm is palpable. How fragrances can enchant. This summer, I've noticed that heat can really lead to impulse buys... how great that we have the lovely Parfumas and Parfumos for testing!
A magical story - it deserves a magic trophy... I'm curious to see if it gets to move in. The little chicken will have to test it out in the luxury hotel again...
Very good and refreshing clucking from the chicken! Other farm animals can confirm that samples or decants sometimes smell quite different from the original bottles. Anyway - a lovely Simsalabim trophy for you!
You've shared a very charming read today, and I enjoyed it! However, both scents don't seem to be for me, but the friendly and interesting chatter definitely is!
Hi Polly, yes, that's how it goes... Sometimes you think you're just opening another door and suddenly you're right back at the beginning. If only the Kriegler things weren't so incredibly expensive... Many years ago, a neighbor gifted me a Kriegler scented candle, and I still have no idea how I got such an incredible honor, especially since we're not that close. The candle smells amazing, it's insane. I'm afraid to light it because: it'll be gone eventually :O.
Really beautifully written. :)) The name of the fragrance is so lovely, and how nice that the content can connect back to the early days here. I'm curious to see how this fairy tale ends.
