Extraordinaire Camelia 209 Sissi Edition Krigler 2023

I've been circling around the concentrated and years-macerated special edition of my beloved Extraordinaire Camelia 209 since its launch last year. Extraordinaire Camelia 209 is one of my absolute favorite fragrances, so I simply had to get to know it. Unfortunately, there are no samples available in the webshop, and with an Extrait containing 12 milliliters at such a high price, a blind purchase was absolutely out of the question. Who doesn't know it? Fragrances always smell a bit different in varying concentrations. And I couldn't smell from afar whether I would actually like it. So, during my visit to Munich yesterday, I took the opportunity to test it at the Krigler boutique.

Since parking there is catastrophic, my husband had to circle with the car while I quickly dashed across the street and had the wonderful Sissi edition sprayed on me. Yes, I know. Buying right after the first sniff is almost as silly as a blind purchase, but I did it. I took this dream scent home immediately without thinking for even another minute.

Anyone who knows the original will quickly find access to this one as well. They are very similar, although they don't smell exactly the same. Even the opening is a bit different. The 2023 special edition smells more floral, more perfumed, and distinctly more mature than the regular Extrait. Here we have much more development, which I find very beautiful. At first, the scent is simply floral, and gradually the other notes begin to emerge. A bit of pepper, a hint of citrus, and after about 20-30 minutes, the wonderful musk note starts to come to the forefront. The vanilla takes a bit longer to make its appearance but then joins in gradually. Additionally, the Sissi edition is even softer and rounder than the original. ISO-E-Super has been toned down here. The woody facets recede a bit into the background. With less ISO, this variant naturally also has a bit less sillage than the classic, but that has never bothered me. I love my fragrances close to the body. So, wonderful. It scores with a very long lasting power. I had it sprayed on around 6 PM and could still perceive it very well around 2:00 AM when we returned after a fantastic concert evening. My husband also finds it beautiful. What more could I want?

Dream scent. Everything fits for me here. This is one for very special days. To enjoy. And I am so happy that I took it home. In the Krigler boutique, I was shown many fragrances, despite the short time - my husband was circling with the car - and there were also plenty of samples. I am thrilled. I can only recommend a visit there. But it's best to arrive by public transport.
