Best eau de cologne!

Can a reformulation be better than the original? In this case, yes!
Olivia Giacobetti's L'Eau de l'Artisan came onto the market in 1993 as Eau de Toilette. For a long time I have been a fan of it, that it is one of the few fragrances that smells of meadow and hay. All the more I was curious if the reformulation in 2018 would bring something good, especially since the eau de toilette version was taken off the market.
I want to anticipate it right away: Olivia Giacobetti has succeeded in reinterpreting the fragrance and bringing it into the modern age without changing its basic DNA!
Now for the fragrance: it starts fresher and more citrusy than the eau de toilette. Lemon and verbena are the perfect start, then transition to meadow and hay chords. The base is dominated by wood chords, which remain gently in the background.
In total a Cologne masterpiece by Olivia Giacobetti! And all this without any pungent citric and a watercolour-like lightness that knows how to enchant.
The shelf life and the silage correspond to an Eau de Cologne. But one likes to spray here
