A Whole Half Year...
so the title of the book that brought me to this scent:
A delicate love story of a severely paralyzed man and a young woman, whose only offense is her unconventional way of dressing.
He ends his life, which he now perceives as undignified, through assisted suicide and leaves her a legacy:
Among other things, a trip to Paris with a visit to a perfumery with the "mission" to buy this scent...
I myself, thanks to a dear friend, bought the scent afterwards - I absolutely wanted to have it after reading the book - Papillon.
And yes, my immediate thoughts of a tuberose scent have been confirmed:
Strikingly unobtrusive it seems:
Fresh in the opening, vigorous like Louisa in the story, citrusy and then after a short while the tuberose - also persistent like Louisa - slightly rounded by the base notes. The fine tuberose remains and remains - I have never before smelled such a "fine" tuberose in a fragrance.
I think the base notes probably round off the tuberose scent as well.
My imagination stays with this beautiful story and the butterfly Louisa, who finally dares to spread her wings a little - Papillon - completely without hunting/Chasse...
For my feeling, this scent fits so well.

I just read the book, and it really touched me... Now I'm curious about the scent too. Even though flowers aren't really my thing, I'd love to give it a try...

Beautifully described :-). I'm touched. The book has made me curious about the scent as well. I love it on its own and layered with Eau de Lingerie. Enchanting.
