Fresh Kick in Strasbourg

My husband and I love Strasbourg, whether in winter or summer, a beautiful little town for strolling, dreaming, and of course shopping. About 2 years ago, we crossed the border again in the height of summer and we really hit one of the hottest days. Wonderful, but you could only move in slow motion - and yet all the clothes stuck to you like a second skin. We got our first fresh kick when we joined some playing children in a large fountain and cooled our feet...:-)

On our further walk, I stopped in front of a romantic boutique, magically drawn to some very eye-catching jewelry in the window. My husband took pity on me, accompanied me inside, and took even more pity, letting me choose something (he's the best!) We (or rather he) had already paid when he suddenly said: Look, they also have perfumes (he's the absolute best!)... oh oh... well of course, we were also in a L'Artisan Parfumerie, but since this was unknown to me until then and I was totally dazzled by all the jewelry, I only noticed all the bottles now. This turned into a longer stay in the shop:-) A very lovely saleswoman first sprayed Mûre et Musc on my wrist - and I was immediately fascinated by the scent! I must have tried at least 10 more, but in the end, I chose this one first (and then two others: La Chasse aux Papillons and for my husband, the Fou d'Absinthe). The saleswoman asked at the end if she should mist us with a fragrance, and with a cloud of MeM, I left the boutique. Fresh kick number 2!

Mûre et Musc starts fresh, with bergamot and grapefruit (this combination is mood-lifting and promotes communication!) with a slightly green note from the basil. The blackberry doesn't take long to appear. The amazing thing is that I usually struggle with berries; they often come across as too sweet and intrusive, even piercing - but this one is different, very different. Embedded in jasmine, it reminds me of a basket full of freshly picked berries lightly dusted with powdered sugar and still fresh from the mandarin. A bright musk note rounds it off nicely; I even find it a bit mystical. The longevity on my skin is about 4 hours, and you can use it generously - no one will be overwhelmed by this fine little fragrance.

I'm already looking forward to our next trip to Strasbourg:-)
