True Rose, False OUD...

Disparaged as a 90s scent of trash glamour pop, this fragrance is almost a homage to the cheap opulence and kitschy luxury of days gone by before the tube television. Bad gay ballads and cheerful dance sounds come to mind with this scent. Does anyone still remember the band Army of Lovers? I love them...
Baroque dresses and lots of powder and glitter. Yes, that fits the fragrance. Not quite serious glamour.

Actually a rose scent with a hidden OUD note and yet quite different from the standard OUD/ROSE mix.
It seems as if OUD is being simulated here.

The development is beautiful. Well balanced. Not much that is disturbing.
It starts rather cold and fresh with violet, until the wonderful rose reveals itself. A real and cold rose. Credible and not too old-fashioned. The rose is not too kitschy and not too sweet. Simply well done. What is supposed to be musk is more of an OUD wood note in the background. Not medicinal, not annoying. Simply beautiful. Honey and amber linger. Subtle and not too harsh. Very unisex. Not too loud.

Sillage is okay, but unfortunately it didn't last too long on my skin. What a pity.
What do I miss? More intensity in the rose. It should be a bit livelier. More musk and less old, musty wood.
Sometimes it smells a bit like ash or muddy. I hope that's not due to my skin...

In short: A beautiful rose fragrance for individualists and glamorous trash fans. For men and women. Special enough to stand out and unique in the top and middle notes, but not in the base. Feel free to spray more. Give it a try. Long live kitsch-baroque!

I admit it: I loved it back then :) But the scent surprises me: The packaging is so subtle o_O

The name sounds interesting, though. The scent itself doesn't seem that exciting...

I'm curious about this scent since I really like the album "massive luxury overdose," even though it's a bit strange. 80s meets 90s eurodance. I'm excited about the rose.

Everything you say about the scent itself is true, so I give it a trophy+. But I find it really overpowering and intrusive. Just too much. But I see: oak moss, got it, that's what makes the scent terrible for me.
