Ghost Pine Lvnea Perfume Oil
1
Boreal Forest on a Misty Morning
This is pine at its finest. Cool, crisp, spicy, and a little bit sweet/resinous (not like incense, but like fresh tree sap). Incredibly natural and realistic, foggy and woodsy. It does not smell like a simple Christmas tree, nor does it smell like a generic men's shower gel.
Absolutely unisex. Atmospheric yet super wearable and appropriate for most occasions. My favourite time wearing this was when I stayed at a friend's fancy winterized cottage for a weekend ski trip. I understand why Ghost Pine is one of LVNEA's most popular scents - I can't imagine anyone hating this!
For comparison, I have the Ghost Pine perfume oil and Hemlock Shade EDP. There are definite similarities, but Ghost Pine has a brisk mountain air aspect, while Hemlock Shade feels darker, heavier, sleepier. I love both of them, but I prefer Ghost Pine during the daytime and Hemlock Shade at night.
The image it conjures: you're camping somewhere remote in the Canadian boreal forest. You wake up early to hike up the forested mountain to watch the sunrise. It's surprisingly chilly. You sit on a rock overlooking the misty lake amid dense growth of conifers as far as the eye can see, waiting for the sun to make its appearance.
