"Sweety Oriental Grandma with a Few Spices in Her Purse"

I was really looking forward to this fragrance... DHI is empty, so I needed a new winter scent.

Meharees piqued my interest, and the positive comments and strong 80% rating did the rest.

Although I often make blind purchases and have never regretted them, like with Tomo or Midnight in Paris, I wanted to test a unisex fragrance first.

A big thank you to Eule for making this possible with a generous sample.

Unfortunately, I can say right away that it doesn't quite suit my taste, which surprises me a bit given the many ingredients I usually enjoy smelling.

The opening is really very sweet, and it does evoke a slight fair or Christmas market feeling. But immediately there is something I don't quite like, and it seems to be the dates. Unfortunately, the scent lingers throughout the entire fragrance development.

Later, it becomes significantly more pleasant and smells quite elegant.

The combination of rose, wood, cinnamon, and a lot of vanilla towards the end I really like.
But still, there is that one note I can't handle, which initially gives me a bit of a headache.

The longevity is good, and the scent lasts for several hours. For the price, it's top!
The sillage is average, and you only stand out in close proximity.

The fragrance is unisex, but for me, it definitely leans more towards the feminine side, especially in the first hour after application. However, it does change direction a bit afterward and becomes a little more bearable for men, but not much more.

Now the fragrance does radiate something elegant and warm. Cinnamon and vanilla can save quite a bit and are generally among my favorites.

However, I realize that I don't need a perfume like this when my alternatives are so strong and don't contain fragrance notes I dislike.

Not bad at all, but unfortunately not for me... and generally, I find it less suitable for men.

A fragrance I don't need to get, and for me, it's definitely an EDP that suits the female gender more, and I can also imagine this scent more on older ladies. If I imagine that my ex had smelled like this on our first meeting at 19, she would probably still just be an acquaintance and not my ex today.

And whether ex or acquaintance would be better is a matter of debate, just like tastes and this fragrance.

It's just my impression, maybe I would like it better if I smelled it on a young woman :D

I feel the same way as you! The scents from L'Erbolario are all well-crafted and don't come off as artificial - but I'm not warming up to this fragrance. There's a note that bothers me, maybe it's really the date! From the fragrance notes, it should be my thing.

I think this is definitely a women's fragrance. I might like to smell it on my husband, but only because I like the scent. It wouldn't really suit him. ;-)
