Héliotrope Blanc L.T. Piver 1850 Eau de Toilette

Oldie but goodie
The 4711 of powdery florals, and I mean that in the best possible way: It's been issued ages ago, is available for a very low price, is rather light and simple and has a scent profile that has become very classic and doesn't scream "this fragrance has been on the market for almost 200 years".
No one can know how this smelled in 1850 and how much it changed over the years, but the current version is not challenging to modern noses at all. I was actually surprised to see the release date after testing it for the first time.
All the listed notes are perceptible. Heliotrope and almond are sweet and light, with a soft cherry vibe. Ylang ylang adds a classic "perfumey" floral scent, but also a cute banana-like fruitiness. Vanilla, of course, adds some warmth and to the base. Jasmine is the least prominent note, I think it's mostly there to bind the scent together and keep it out of the overly sweet gourmand territory. This is a soft and clean scent somewhere between powder and body lotion.
It's not something that makes me run and get a bottle, but it is very easygoing, comforting and cozy with an innocent retro charme.
