Oud Cannelle La Closerie des Parfums 2018

I really liked the "Oud - Ambre Cannelle | La Closerie des Parfums". This is a great, wintery, oriental-spicy and Christmassy fragrance with a strong performance. It lasts around 24 hours on my skin with a successful sillage.

I don't really recognize the top note listed in the fragrance pyramid. It starts off oriental-spicy, sweet and gourmand with aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, gingerbread and cloves. The heart note remains spicy-sweet and is accompanied by woody-resinous aromas thanks to sandalwood, guaiac wood and cedar wood. I can also smell dried fruits such as raisins and brown rum. The base is creamy, balsamic and sweet again with notes of amber, bourbon vanilla, tonka beans, almond milk and benzoin.

In the end, I am actually quite happy not to have smelled any roses and, if at all, only marginal oud, because there are enough of these fragrances. Yes, I think the "Oud - Ambre Cannelle | La Closerie des Parfums" is really nice. Many thanks to Nick for the bottling.
