Ashes Ashes We All Fall Down
This fragrance is inspired by the Ossuaries of Europe. Ossuaries are chambers for storing human bones when cemeteries were overcrowded and burial space was scarce. Displaying and maintaining the bones of the deceased was once a way to honor the dead. If this fragrance is inspired by Ossuaries then I believe this one is specifically inspired by the mass crypts that were made to house the bones of the ten of thousand of plague victims. This fragrance reminds me of the smell of ashes. Its like the remains after a fire but its been so long the smell of smoke it gone and you have just the black and powdery remains. Then someone comes to collect those remains into a wooden box, the wood is uncured. While people used to have a pocket full of posies to mask the smell, I instead pick up a slightly powdery floral scent.
This is a very light fragrance, almost too light to detect but suddenly you would catch your scent trail. This fragrance only lasted about 3 hours for me. There are two sizes available starting at 9ml for $35 and 50ml for $130.
