Forbidden Love and a Death
This review discusses two fragrances from La Fleur by Livvy: 'Forbidden Love' and 'Midnight Mortals'. The fragrances are natural perfumes. 'Midnight Mortals' is not listed here and is also no longer featured on the company's website.
'Forbidden Love' starts fruity and sweet. However, I can't detect the orange listed in the pyramid. Quickly, the fruity notes fade away, and the sweetness seems to come more from flowers.
For a good hour, nothing changes, and then the floral sweetness is replaced by a vanilla sweetness. Unfortunately, that’s it. 'Forbidden Love' becomes weaker and simply disappears after about three hours.
In my opinion, 'Forbidden Love' is actually a fragrance for young women. Suitable for spring and summer. But the simple composition, weak longevity, and very high price argue against a purchase. You can find something like this among drugstore fragrances for a few euros. Sillage: 4 points, longevity: 3 hours.
'Midnight Mortals' - the name seems to be the program. The fragrance dies faster than you can test it.
The opening is fresh, floral, and vaguely reminiscent of 4711 Echt Kölnisch. Unfortunately, the freshness fades away at a rapid pace, and 'Midnight Mortals' becomes musty. After about half an hour, I think I smell some wood, but that doesn’t chase away the mustiness.
After an hour, there is absolutely nothing left of this fragrance!
'Midnight Mortals' would be a feminine scent, perhaps for cooler temperatures. If only it were better.
I would give the following ratings: fragrance 3 points, sillage 3 points, longevity: 1 point.
