I still remember exactly how I was at a friend's house, and he sprayed himself with this perfume. I thought 1:1 "Damn, this is amazing. No matter how much it costs, I have to get it too" until I did some research and bought it for around €5 at a DM. I love the scent when sprayed, which some describe as alcoholic, but I find it rather warm and pleasantly chocolaty/vanilla. I'm not an expert, not even close, but it does remind me quite strongly of le Male, which I also own (got it later) and I'm really impressed. I would use La Rive Cabana in my daily life and save le Male for going out in the evening or for the club. I also have Boss Bottled, but I prefer La Rive, even though the general public probably prefers the Boss scent. After a while, the vanilla scent comes out strongly, which is something I also love about this fragrance.
If it weren't so weird to give away scents that you wear all the time, this would probably be my first choice if I were to gift a perfume :D
