MyLO Laboratorio Olfattivo 2016

MyLO came to me as a bonus in a fragrance package. I almost get excited about samples because there are often real surprises waiting - and you test and try out scent directions that sometimes lie far outside of the well-trodden fragrance preferences. Maybe you are braver - but at least I often catch myself thinking: Phew, orange blossom and jasmine and lily, that’s surely too much for me, cinnamon and cardamom and vanilla, that will blow my nose away - and sometimes even a description like “spicy-oriental” is enough for me to flinch and cowardly pass on a sample.
But when I receive samples from someone, my incredible curiosity ALWAYS wins and every single one is tested!
With MyLO, I am very glad that there was this sample. The opening is definitely too much for my nose: Many different citrus notes and a lot of resin. Almost piercing and overwhelming despite a careful dosage. After about an hour, it gradually becomes a bit more restrained, but is still very aromatic: pepper, cardamom, resin, made a bit lighter and fresher by citrus components. Only after about three hours do the floral notes come into play for me, although I can’t identify any flower - spicy-white blooming - that’s how I would describe it. From this point on, the fragrance becomes softer, more embracing, and cozier in the direction of a vanillic musk scent. I perceive the scent as a bit soapy, less powdery.

So why am I so pleased with MyLO? The fragrance will not land on my wish list, but I am once again surprised at how much the spectrum of fragrances I can appreciate has expanded! It will definitely go on my watch list - in winter, I will definitely test the fragrance again. A heartfelt thank you to Addicta, whose surprise addition made this test possible for me!
