Vanagloria Laboratorio Olfattivo 2021

First, I must defend myself ;)

Because I received the fragrance as a souk addition and after looking at the fragrance pyramid, I clearly expected to get incense if it was included.
But this scent hits me in the face so hard after spraying that I can't even smell it properly anymore.

I immediately think back to my teenage years when I was an altar girl; I always held my nose back then ... Incense is just not my scent note :(
Maybe I should also mention that in the end, I actually preferred to sleep in on Sundays rather than go to church, and thankfully my parents understood that (pun intended?) when I stopped going. :')

After a few minutes, I sniff my wrist again, and now I think to myself, "Ohh, it's calming down a bit." and I can actually say that, yes, if you like incense, you will definitely like this scent.
Now it reminds me of going into a sauna, but without the infusion, of course (and I really, really enjoy going to the sauna). I've loved this smell since my childhood.

However, the incense pulls me back from my sauna thoughts and reminds me again that it is still (much) too dominant for me, but I do perceive the notes I don't like more strongly.
For this reason, I definitely don't want to speak ill of it; it's just simply not for me. ️

Edit:
I baked cookies after I submitted the review and of course kept getting a whiff of incense.
At some point, I thought to myself, "Oh wow, does it really smell like that?!". In fact, I sniff my wrist again and suddenly there's no more incense. All of a sudden, I like the scent as it has become so smooth.
