A New Day from the Summer Camp
I have a very strong "déjà vu" when I smell this fragrance. It takes me back in time to when I was a child and spent a lot of time in the woods as a scout during summer camps, chopping wood and such.
A lot of coniferous forest, plenty of rain, and a decent breeze flowing through the woods, that's what I can smell here. This could be due to the vetiver, but I believe the cypress is mainly responsible for it.
Thus, the scent has already made a very positive impression on me; regarding the sillage, I find it rather subtle. It’s more like a fresh, earthy second skin that you carry with you, very pleasant and more suitable for cooler days. In my opinion, it doesn’t draw incredible attention to itself, as the sillage isn’t present enough, but it works very well for smelling a bit fresher on colder days (without going into the aquatic direction like Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette).
There isn’t much to say about the bottle, but I find it very positive that the cap is made of wood on the outside and sits well on the bottle for the price. I can easily hold the 100ml bottle by the cap; it sits securely and doesn’t wobble.
The price, as already mentioned, is truly excellent; it was a blind buy for me, and the 100ml were definitely worth it. It lasts about 6 hours on me, after which it is only perceptible up close.
