Eau de Lancaster Lancaster

Only for ladies! Never in my life.....
A few months ago, the promising comment from Lancaster85 encouraged me to purchase Eau de Lancaster. I like sharp and fresh scents. However, I must admit, this little water is a bit too sharp, too herbal, too green, too - whatever.
Eau de Lancaster starts citrusy, fresh, and green-herbal. After a short time, the green-herbal and slightly peppery note comes through; I think of basil, but I'm not sure. In any case, herbs take the lead here. I can't detect any flowers; towards the end, Eau de Lancaster becomes a bit sweeter, I suspect a hint of vanilla with a touch of wood.
Longevity and sillage are rather weak; after an hour, I can only perceive a delicate breeze of the scent, and after a little more than two hours, Eau de Lancaster has completely vanished. However, for the price of about 20 euros for 75 ml, one can easily reapply, and in summer, this water is certainly a refreshing companion and will probably develop even better on warm skin. And that this scent is labeled as a women's fragrance is hard for me to believe. Eau de Lancaster is definitely unisex; I can very well imagine it on a man. Those who like scents like Eau de Rochas and Ô de Lancôme will be well served with this one. The greenish shimmering glass bottle is tasteful and feels good in the hand. Nevertheless, the scent doesn't quite match my taste, at least on my skin. I like it much better on my husband; well, at least the Eau stays in the family.

We have it in our perfume shop now for 19 euros. Unfortunately, it comes off too masculine on me. The opening is citrusy and nice. :(

If the scent is too herbal and green for you, I’d rather stay away from it.

Oh no, herbal... Let's skip that ;-) By the way, I don't like Ô de Lancôme either. But it's nice that the little fragrance has found a good use with you guys ;-D

Herb is usually good for me - I definitely need to give it a sniff :-)

You know, when it comes to gender associations, we shouldn't take them too seriously - at least not here. I felt the same way about "Coma la Luna," which I could also picture more on a man. I still love it on me, though! :-).

I think I need to test it again in the summer.

With "too bitter, too herbal, too green..." I'm out of this one ;-) But still, thank you and a green shimmering trophy for you!

I can only vaguely remember it; back then, it wasn't strong and oriental enough for me. :)

Since I didn't mind the other two "Eau's," I would probably like this one as well. However, the bitter, green waters don't make it to my list of potential purchases anymore.

It's nice when men are good for something.

In 1977, that might have still been true for "women's fragrance." Back then, men's scents weren't as sweet as some are today. Everything was still nicely organized and had its order... heh :o) I've never heard of this Lancaster before.
