Reviewing the vintage splash bottle with the golf ball stopper...
It opens with a citrus note, not far from Eau Sauvage, followed by lavender with some basil and jasmine. Along with the jasmine I also get a pretty clear note of marigold though it is not listed, which gives it just a tiny tiny resemblance to Hugo Boss Sport. After this, it dries down to a great grassy-green chypre on a musky base of vetiver and patchouli with a decent shot of moss, which actually smells like another kind of moss than oakmoss, not sure what kind it is ? The scent is big, but not loud and very well-mannered.
Overall, an excellent scent in a somewhat quirky bottle. Sillage is good and longevity is excellent, even if the bottle is some 20 years+.
