La Vie est Belle L'Elixir Lancôme 2024

At first, I wasn't sure at all what this scent was supposed to smell like, because the fragrance pyramid is really interesting. Cocoa, leather, and raspberry just seemed to me like a combination that couldn't possibly work together. Generally, I'm not a big fan of the La Vie est Belle line. I found every scent to be very tacky, as they smell extremely artificial, like a chemistry lab. But when I received this little tester and tried it out, I was truly shocked-in a positive way! Because the scent is nothing like its predecessors. It almost feels natural and light (which might be due to the longevity). On the skin, it feels very velvety. The raspberry doesn't bite at all and is beautifully rounded with the leather, as if one were wearing a fine leather jacket. There’s something mysterious about it, especially coming from the leather. It’s as if you want to turn around to find out what kind of scent this is-something you’ve never smelled before. Unlike the usual very floral fragrances, it feels refined, sexy, feminine, and radiates elegance.
