Fruity rose, spice, liqueur. Closer to other Maison-Rosend scents than to the original, which I found fresher and more graceful.

I agree, and I can't rate it higher than a 7. I think the very strong pear scent really bothers me. Unfortunately, it doesn't blend well with the sweet, jammy rose for me.

It's been 15 years since I last used the old Mille & une Roses, and I can't rule out that my memory might be faulty or my taste has changed. But the old version was soft and had a tea-rose freshness to it. I don't find that in the new scent.
