Lanvin L'Homme Sport Lanvin 2009 Eau de Toilette

I recently compared Lavin L'Homme Sport directly with another very popular men's fragrance in this category, namely: Bleu de Chanel.

As is well known, one cannot go wrong with scents from this segment. They are always well received. Primarily, it is the fresh-aquatic-citrus-scented perfumes that immediately evoke the association of pleasing grooming and cleanliness. It is also known that "for men" shower gels usually have a similar scent profile, albeit with a distinct synthetic note.
By the way, both candidates in this comparison are currently rated here with 7.2 points, which is quite solid and good.

With the relatively inexpensive Lanvin scent, I was concerned that it might smell too synthetic-aquatic. At about €20 for 100ml (reduced price), you can get this fragrance for almost a quarter of the price of the Chanel perfume. However, these are the online prices, and I have never really seen discounted Chanel perfumes on the internet. Chanel tends to always command quite high prices.

Fortunately, my concern that the Lanvin scent might smell too synthetic-chemical, and thus cheap, has absolutely NOT been confirmed ;). On the contrary, I find it smells very high-quality and has, especially for an aquatic perfume, a rather "noble touch." This impression likely results from the combination of the two heart notes lavender + sage! They enrich and complement the fresh-peppery character of the scent (bergamot, lemon, pepper) with sweet-spicy fragrance aromas! The relevant base note of moss adds a fresh-green scent facet to the mix.

In the end, the scent difference between the two is that Bleu de Chanel has a spicy-smoky note, whereas Lanvin L'Homme Sport is sweet-spicy. In terms of main impression, both are peppery-fresh-citrusy. With both perfumes, as mentioned at the beginning, you can't go wrong. They are both great! ;)

In terms of longevity and projection, I would actually rate the Lanvin higher than the Chanel.
I find the bottles & sprayers of both quite stylish and solid!
