pungent musk in a bed of fruit
Ana Abiyed white was one of my first Arabic fragrances. I wanted to like it so much and bought it after all the praise from the Tiktok world.
Of course, it was tested straight away and I couldn't understand the world anymore. Yes, it was very fruity. Yes, it was very sweet. But what I mainly had in my nose was an incredibly pungent off-note. I classify it as super synthetic musk. And this note is not only unpleasant for my nose, it is also extremely long-lasting and does not disappear during the entire drydown.
However, I experienced that not everyone seems to feel this way on the same day. When I arrived at our stables, a stable colleague who was standing a few steps away from me approached me and asked me what an incredibly great perfume I was wearing. She ordered it for herself that very day.

I recently read somewhere here that there are umpteen different musk compounds and that almost everyone perceives each of these compounds differently. What smells soft and cuddly to one person stings the nose of another and gives them a headache. 🤷🏻

That's true, which is why many people love this fragrance. I wish I had the same perception6
