Asad taught me a great lesson: Never blind buy fragrances!
I fell for the hype and was disappointed by this one. The opening (like many middle eastern clones) is synthetic and harsh. I get way too much pineapple and it is very unpleasant. It does get much better after about half and hour or so. I have the sample of the original Sauvage Elixir and the dry down of Asad shares a lot with it but its not the same. On its own though its excellent value for money... as long as you wait for about 30 minutes after applying it. The performance is great its a full day fragrance although it becomes a skin scent after 3-4 hours. The harsh synthetic pineapple-y opening is a disappointment so for me this is a solid 7/10.
