I was recently in the Müller around the corner and was surprised to see the Zanzibar from Lattafa. Unfortunately there was no tester available but as it is quite cheap I thought it would be another blind buy. I arrived home and the first spray was a surprise. I was expecting something different like aquatic notes, but instead a combination of fruit, fresh salty breeze, dry coconut and powdery iris. It really is something I've never smelled before. It was like a warm summer day on a quiet beach enjoying a fresh coconut. In the base, the scent becomes deeper and woodier. With prolonged wear on the skin, I smelled a light, unobtrusive sweetness like vanilla and warm sandalwood. But what left the biggest impression on me was the incense. I couldn't help but notice that the longer I had it on my skin, the more it smelled like a nice lemon cake, which works really well in summer in my eyes. I can imagine it perfectly on a warm spring or summer day, but also on a cooler day when you want to spray a little vacation on your skin. It is fresh, creamy and woody at the same time and is incredibly versatile. A clear recommendation for me.
