Performance, where are you?

Ok.....
Then I’ll write something about Liam Grey.

I’ve ordered it too, the hype fragrance from Lattafa that everyone is raving about....

One thing in advance....It’s not bad per se.
But.....The performance is really bottom of the barrel. I’ll get to that later.

The scent itself is spicy/sweet. For me, it’s almost too sweet from the heart note onwards. It had a slight hint of nausea. But there are definitely worse ones!
It might be due to the tea or the fig. Honestly, I find those components disturbing. I like the cardamom note.... it reminds me a bit of YSL La Nuit.
It’s definitely a pleasant everyday scent, or if you work in an office. It would also be nice in the evening while dining, or in a bar.
It would fit perfectly there.

The bottle is nothing special either. The bottle has been used by Lattafa for other fragrances before.
You know how it is with Lattafa.
The sprayer is also solid.

Now let’s get to the negative....the performance.
On my skin, it lasted less than 2 hours. On fabric, it lasted a bit longer, but still not groundbreaking.
Sillage was only present in the first 20 minutes...after that, it was only close to the skin.
Very disappointing...unfortunately.

I can’t understand the many positive comments regarding performance. Either they were paid by Lattafa, or they just said that for clicks and likes.
Personally, I find the scent extremely weak.
I wouldn’t buy it again.
So.....done

It says "Not very helpful review" up there..... Well... Some would call that a.... public shaming.

Sorry, but I think you might be off the mark. It's definitely not Lattafa's fault. You say all the Lattafas you know have poor performance? I really can't understand that. All the Lattafas I know have amazing performance! It's to the point where they can be a bit overwhelming. Often, just 1 or 2 sprays are enough before they risk becoming too much. They usually have more power than style, which is why they're so popular among younger people.

Aha..... I can't confirm that with just one or two sprays.
I should also mention that I don't know anything about the Pride Line, since they are just clones of niche perfumes. I'm not familiar with the niche market. I've bought Lattafa fragrances for up to €20... or sometimes up to €30. And they were all designer dupes.
But the performance was never really good. They all had barely any sillage. And if they did, it was only for the first 30 minutes, then it faded and you could only smell it up close.
Right now, I have the Ard Al Zaafaran Mushrif. It's surprisingly good, even I was amazed.
It's a mix of YSL Y EdP and Dylan Blue. It works really well.

You say it's a pleasant everyday scent, great for something like a dinner. But then you give it a 4.5, which is below average? There's a reason why scent, longevity, sillage, etc. are separate criteria on Parfumo. I find the rating exaggerated, especially since I gathered from your review that the score was lowered again due to longevity, which, as mentioned, is a different criterion since the scent is all about the DNA. Also, I don't think anyone gets paid on Parfumo 😅🤣

@DarthDeluxe I already understood that, and I criticized that in my comment too, right?

The bad rating is mainly for the performance.

Unfortunately, you have to let these things sit for about six months, preferably without the cap.

It can't be that, mine was bottled on 3.24 and I've had it since the end of May, and it's been great from the start. Who knows where some people get their fragrances. Even with Lattafa scents, there are fakes out there. For me, it lasts at least 8 hours.

Because you basically get the scent for free.
Otherwise, just invest the 200€. Easy.

Why should I, as an end customer, do the job that the perfumer is supposed to do?
Lattafa is more about quantity than quality.

I feel the same way. The BDK Gris Charnel lasts way longer, and I regularly get my own scent cloud. The Liam has some sillage right after spraying, but after about two hours, it’s only close to the skin. After four hours, you can barely notice it. It’s not just me; my wife feels the same way. The bottle is new, so maybe there’s still hope, or the batch is just bad. No idea. I have other Lattafa or Afnan fragrances that perform much better. What a shame.

I really don't get the bad review. This is the best of all Lattafas I've came across. The longevity is quite good and the scent itself is really pleasant!

Is this supposed to be the best Lattafa?
Okay!?!?

I think you got a really bad batch. For me, it lasts a solid 7-8 hours and has great projection. Or maybe it really depends on your skin? Have you tried using a moisturizer?

Then I must have had a bad batch of EVERY Lattafa perfume.....🤦. Lattafa is complete junk when it comes to performance. I've had over 30 Lattafas (Alhambra, Ard Al Zaafaran, and RAVE). Each one was weak. Most of them smelled good, but as far as longevity and sillage go, Lattafa is absolutely useless.

I tried it with cream. It didn’t help at all. After 3 hours, I couldn’t smell anything anymore. Even people who smelled my arm couldn’t detect anything.

"Just because you don't like it, or it didn't perform well for you, or you came across a bad batch, doesn't mean people are getting paid. It's only good if you are satisfied. If it's not, people are lying, lol.
Performance is okay; it's not a powerhouse, but 7-hours longevity are good enough. It's not overly strong, but it's also not as weak as you described. It's a good scent for evenings, to cuddle with a partner or as an office scent; it won't offend anyone, but it will surely please.
It's unfortunate you had a bad experience, but what you're stating is absolutely wrong. I'm not saying you're lying, but the way you judged it and assumed people are 'paid by Lattafa, or they just said that for clicks and likes' is the issue. Please reconsider your words. it didnt pass well to me sorry but i hate this kind of comments you dont like judge by your trial and dont go after others opinion

7 hours? I sprayed 4 times on my forearm and didn't pay attention to it for a while. After about 3 hours, I smelled my arm again, but I couldn't detect anything anymore.
I've had this issue with every Lattafa fragrance I've tried so far, and it hasn't been a few.
And the "getting paid" comment was meant to be sarcastic.
I've had better experiences with performance from Armaf, for example.
