Barely had it arrived, and it had already left me again. My best friend, who calls herself a "rose hater," casually took this little treasure with her during her last visit. Is that significant? Possibly. Since she is really picky and has absolutely no use for niche fragrances, it can definitely be said: "Mohra Silke Rose" is pleasing!
Scent:
On my skin, the fragrance starts off very, very sweet. To my nose, the intensity of the sweetness is already on par with "La Vie Est Belle," although less fruity. In the first few minutes, I can clearly smell the rose with lychee, all resting on a fluffy vanilla base. Shortly after spraying, the scent is a "brick." Very sweet, very present. After about 10 minutes, it becomes creamier and very vanilla-like. After 2 hours, I can only smell the creamy-sweet musk base on my perfume-absorbing skin. Definitely more cream than powder. The floral notes have almost completely disappeared.
The sillage is really very strong at the beginning. I can only agree with my predecessor on that. Unfortunately, it fades for me just as (too) quickly as the longevity. It's conceivable that more sensitive noses perceive it differently..
I find the scent relatively linear. Not much happens, except for fruit/flower -> vanilla/musk. The former retreats, the latter takes over until only cream remains.
Scent Impression:
My first association was: "Oh, how sweet! This is a scent you would expect from someone aged 13." After wearing it several times, I can say: Mohra Silky Rose does smell youthful, somewhat innocent, but not only that. In my opinion, the creation oscillates between girlish and well-groomed. Between candy and rose hair mask. Overall, it is a pleasing fragrance and surely pleasant for many noses. Not necessarily beautiful and the most magnificent thing one has ever smelled, but quite nice.
When? Where? Who?
For me, it would not be suitable as a mature woman in a work environment. Normally, I am quite carefree in choosing my fragrances concerning my surroundings. However, this one radiates exactly the opposite of seriousness and competence for me. I would fear being taken less seriously, perhaps even just subconsciously? Due to its poor longevity on me or the fact that I simply can’t perceive the scent well anymore after a short time, I would also have to reapply by noon at the latest. Not optimal.
For me, it’s more of a scent for home, when I’ve had a beauty day and want to feel particularly feminine and 10 years younger. Surely also nice and fitting for girls' nights on the couch. The creation is lovely, cute, soft, and cuddly. The bottle matches that. In my opinion, it’s an absolute spring fragrance and not bad at all.
Conclusion:
A creation that makes you feel not like a queen, but like a little princess. Sweet and well-groomed. Sometimes that’s not so bad.
The scent quality is definitely worth the price.
A top blind buy gift for your 13-year-old niece. Without irony, a recommendation from me! :D
