Something is wrong with Hasi...!?
...the adult brother of "Shaghaf Oud | Swiss Arabian" or just a fresh-oriental rose soap?
Yes, yes, that's how it is with skin chemistry. For some it’s one way, for others it’s another. One person is speechless with joy, the other can’t wash it off fast enough. But let me start from the beginning...
My husband and I love "Shaghaf Oud | Swiss Arabian", I mean really LOVE!! Each of us has our own bottle because we don’t want to share this incredibly delicious little treasure #Schnuppi-Neid *laughs*
That's why "Sheikh Shuyukh Luxe Edition | Lattafa / لطافة" immediately triggered me. Read reviews, watched YouTube videos, and without much fuss, I jumped right in - blind purchase of course.
The package arrived and was, of course, completely torn apart like a West package, naturally.
*Pfffff Pfffff* from me and *Pfffff Pfffff* from my darling. 3, 2, 1,...
Snout in and tiiiief inhaled...
"Hmmmm omg it’s even cooler than I thought" and "Bleegh! What the heck is this S#%*@e" came from both of us at about the same time. Great dismay on both sides!
I had hearts in my eyes, he wrinkled his nose in disgust. This has really never happened to us before.
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH HASI...!?
For me, the first impression was a mix of "Oud for Greatness | Initio" and "Shaghaf Oud | Swiss Arabian". Incredibly interesting, profound, composed, sexy, and mature. A very woody "Shaghaf Oud | Swiss Arabian", so to speak. After about 30 minutes, the woody note relaxed quite a bit, and then I only had the slightly woody, not too sticky praline on my skin. *DroolDrool* My mouth is watering. No rose, well, maybe with a lot of imagination.
My better half, on the other hand, unfortunately didn’t fare so well. After high expectations came great disappointment.
There was only a juicy-soapy, oriental, dense rose with a hint of sweetness. Praline? Vanilla? Hmm, a smidgen of both. THAT'S IT! No wood, no depth. And he hates pure rose scents so much. I could hardly believe it; I have never experienced such an extreme difference in a fragrance. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought they were completely different scents!
Conclusion: "Shaghaf Oud | Swiss Arabian" has an adult brother with a lot of sex appeal, all the way to pure oriental rose soap. Definitely test it on your skin and be surprised.
For me, one more bottle that I don’t have to share... *Yay*
