1933 vs 1950s

I couldn't shake the fact that Risque tout was marketed as Tweed in the USA.
My testing indicates: from the 1950s onwards, the bouquet resembles Lenthéric (without "au") and the Tweed Cologne Spray very much resembles Risque tout, the English stiffness has faded away.
The Cologne starts warm and spicy like Risque tout. Sometimes, from the old Tweed, a grass blade or a fern frond pops up… Lavender, Neroli, and Ylang-Ylang smooth out the green notes.
Overall, the Cologne remains very balsamic, sandalwood-like, and it becomes just a tiny bit earthy with catkins.
One comfortably settles down on the leather couch and chats. Oakmoss and vetiver provide a perfect backdrop.
A bit of the original Tweed has been preserved in the version from the 1950s, fundamentally the post-war Tweed is warm(-hearted) and spicy.

Exciting. Thank you so much for your research work. Without this info, one might be confused when testing both.

I would have liked that to be broken down as well.

It's just a shame that with many old perfumes, the differentiation between EdC/PdT/EdP/Perfume isn't clear. Personal (!) photos of the respective perfumes or bottles unfortunately aren't a strong enough argument...

I like doing that, especially since I've unfortunately had some wrong perfumes in the old bottles (not here) before..

Balsamic sounds wonderful. With two different versions, I’d have to get both 😉

I didn't know that beforehand; especially with the really old perfumes, I find it hard to resist a good deal 🤦🏼‍♀️ .. and while researching, I came across this info (that even though they have the same name, they are different scents) ...
