A clean whiskey amber

I don’t know if I’m done with boozy-ambers , but I was wondering what this would smell like and what to expect purely from the notes…aaaaand, there was no surprise.

That’s not completely fair. As is not a bad scent, it’s very good. And should I have not smelt many more like this then I would be looking to buy a bottle of this; as it’s a classic scent; not Classic but in that style. It smells like it was created in the midst of the last century, when in actuality it was released just 7 years ago. Which in the parlance of fragrances it possibly could be seen as ‘an older fragrance’; ripe for reformulation or at least three or four Flankers now. It’s also classic in that sense that it’s suited to a more mature gentleman, but that I don’t mean men of a certain age; I mean a man that’s held together mentally.

Now what’s a good impression of this scent?

Right imagine Maison Martin Margiela’s JAZZ CLUB but without that lingering cigarette tobacco smoke smell, which is a cleaner impression than the actual smell that that leaves; or Xerjoff’s NAXOS but less felt fuzzy and less sweet.

Imagine both with a cleaner sharper whiskey note, with a caramel like amber, that amber note was clear bright but with a soft clarity.

You’d end up with 1978 Les Bains Douches
