Smells like Aventus before it got formulated
I received a miniature sample of this perfume, and as a long-time fan of fragrances similar to Aventus from 2016 or earlier, I was excited to try it. This perfume definitely scratches that itch, as it smells very similar to the opening of the original Aventus. Over time, it evolves into a mix of the original Aventus, blending about 50% Creed Aventus with 50% Zara Vibrant Leather. Throughout its duration, the perfume doesn't change much, sticking to the opening notes of these two fragrances, which are excellent.
I found this fragrance to be very enjoyable overall, and as it evolves, it doesn't become soapy or develop the cheap, dirty wood notes that Zara Vibrant Leather can have. Instead, it stands on its own, feeling fresh and castellan. One drawback, however, is the sillage, which is extremely poor. While those around you may not be able to smell it, you'll still be able to smell it on yourself and likely be pleased with it. The perfume lasted a good 8-12 hours on me.
I'm considering trying the Elixir variant of this perfume, and depending on how it compares to the Eau de Parfum, I may end up ordering one of them. Overall, if the price is right, I would definitely recommend this perfume as a must-buy.
