This is exactly like Oh Ma Biche from the same brand. They just added a drop of vanilla to that fragrance base. I had high hopes for this because it's a Francis Kurkdjian creation, an attempt to revive Lolita Lempicka perfumes, and everyone is praising it. I'm disappointed. There's no scent anywhere that lives up to the name Lolitaland. Gourmet-loving influencers in my country were also praising it, but I just can't understand why everyone is so insensitive to the presence of synthetic white musk in the base of this perfume. Hmm........Sorry, it's just too strong for me to ignore.
The top scent is, as everyone says, a vague fruity gummy-like scent. But there's a bitter taste in the background, like dish soap bubbles. You know when you put detergent in your mouth and it's bitter? That bitter flavor is present throughout. It was the same with Oh Ma Biche , so the culprit is definitely the "white musk." Lolita Lempicka, what happened? The original didn't have that mysterious bitterness, that cheap drugstore-style musk, right? This slightly bitter musk is distracting and makes the synthetic peach (yes, synthetic) less palatable. Also, vanilla makes up less than 10% of the total. It feels like Haribo gummy bears covered in detergent. Why on earth are they calling this a vanilla perfume? I got the official Lolita Lempicka tube, so it's not a fake. "It's like an orange creamsicle!"What? There's no orange or cream anywhere. "It's like ice cream!" No...there's nothing like that...
Plus, the scent is linear, unchanging, and almost identical to Oh ma Biche. I'm so disappointed. Even the sample cost was a waste of money.... I know everyone's tastes and smells are different...really...
