Gothic III Loree Rodkin 2007

Departing from Loree's patchouli focus from the first two installments of the line, Gothic III instead zeros in on a rich, creamy gardenia. The notes are misleading, however. This is a gardenia locked in a damp, sunless basement room where the air is thick and tepid. If you (like me) don't go for white florals unless there's something dark and foreboding about them, this might be right up your alley. It blooms into a thick, meaty blossom on the skin. One of my favorite night time scents.
