Drunken Rose

Oh, how magical!
Contrary to the many, at best mediocre, reviews, I find the new Louis Vuitton beautiful.

A sweet, slightly spicy, tipsy rose. Not entirely unlike the luscious rose-rum combination of Classique Eau de Parfum.
The fragrance radiates a warmth that matches both the color and the name. "Desert Flower" - a radiant beauty, whose sweet aroma lies in the shimmering heat of the surroundings. When the sun sets and the temperatures cool down a bit, its purple petals glow in the evening light.
Heat and a certain sultry floral quality are transported exceptionally well by the rather linear scent progression, from front to back a coherent composition. The only drawback here is the Ambrox, which in too high doses irritates my nose too much, just at the acceptable limit (for me).

And how can the many negative reviews be explained now?

Price? It hardly bothers anyone with the other LV fragrances either.

Sillage and longevity? No "beast mode" here (...word of the year for me). But I also didn't want a 3-weather-taffeta that needs to be chemically cleaned out of the fibers of my clothing. Not a beast, "just" a perfume.

Classification as unisex? Well, for me personally, it leans more feminine. But those are boxes that I no longer find very contemporary.

I don’t know. LV FANS seem to have an exceptionally high expectation. As an "LV newcomer," the fragrance has convinced me - a desired candidate.
