Nostalgia
This used to be my signature scent. Back when I had friends, or so I thought. Back when things were great, or so they seemed. Back when I thought I was thriving when every night was the worse night ever. This ultra-gourmand scent accompanied me everywhere, and as a chaperone of someone who had less sense of scent etiquette, drew as many complaints as compliments.
To me, this scent is very caramel/burnt-sugar heavy, with a hint of laconic note and lemony flavor. It reminds me of Yakurt, a Japanese brand of laconic, yogurt-ish dessert drink. I saw a popup corner at Lush Shibuya the other day, when I had already grown out of this particular scent, so I think this is now one of their “buzz” products. I see some similarities in DNA with many of the buzz perfumes, like Cloud, BR540, etc. Sugary, burnt, clingy and potent.
I’ve since outgrown this scent. It was a scent that tried and tried, only to fall back down. I now look on other people enjoying this scent, wishing everything I’ve lost could come back.
