And that's how I came across Parfumo...
Yes, exactly! I ended up here because of this perfume (in search of the notes it contains)! First, I was incognito for 6 months and then in May as a member! For how much other "stuff" I appreciate (CDs, clothes, jewelry, cookbooks, spices, wine...) could I have spent the money I have invested in perfume since then? But I can take neither this nor that with me when my time is up. So spend it!
But now to the scent! It was the early 90s when I finally dared to enter a local perfumery (no, not the one with the D!). The saleswoman sprayed me quite generously with 1900, which was probably a new scent at the time. At first, I wasn't that thrilled, but the perfume stuck quite stubbornly to my winter jacket and my hair, and over the course of the day, I completely fell in love with this - for me at the time quite unusual - scent. Warm, sweet, but not too sweet and vanilla-like to my nose. The next day, I immediately bought the bottle. MCM 1900 has also been one of my favorites in the fall all these years. I don't know of any comparable scent! If I had to choose ONE single fragrance from my huge collection, it would have very good chances! But luckily, those are purely hypothetical considerations! Because in the height of summer, it might be too intense for me after all!
I also like to wear it in October for joyful occasions, such as on Friday for a reunion with a lovely perfumista I met through this forum. It was a mega session! We tested about 40-50 fragrances, created samples and decants for each other... and in the end, we were still able to differentiate quite well. And then we had to have a glass of red wine at the end!
Yes, I owe such beautiful connections to Parfumo and ultimately to MCM 1900!

Although both (vintage) fragrances were great powerhouses.
