Spices, Herbs... and all sorts of other good things...
I had never smelled, read, or heard anything from this brand before. A visit to TK MAXX and the price was the reason to buy this fragrance somewhat "on the side." Since my curiosity is sometimes greater than my reason (my COLLECTION!!!), it had to happen.
The perfume is made of high quality. Everything is very long-lasting and versatile, with hardly any "synthetics."
At the beginning, there is a spice and herb blend carried by lavender that has a slightly oriental-exotic feel. Sometimes coriander peeks out cheekily, sometimes cardamom, while the slightly bitter mugwort remains as a gentle shadow, sometimes above, sometimes below.
A rather "grainy-sandy" cinnamon then "sneaks" in, becoming more present along with neroli among the herbs. It even dominates for a while. At this stage, the scent reminds me of other "winter fragrances," for example from "D & G" or "Joop," but not quite as sweet.
After three or four hours, the base then opens up further "oriental" windows with harsh (vetiver, sandalwood) and opulent-woody notes that linger for several more hours and then slowly fade away.
A mixture of sweet, slightly bitter, spicy, herbal, woody... like a slow journey through different landscapes. Consistently interesting with little surprises :-))
