Culture by Tabac: Egypt Dreams Mäurer & Wirtz 2001 Eau de Toilette
1
This should never, EVER, EVER have been discontinued :-( (EDIT: 17.04.2024)
I stumbled upon an original manufacturer sample of Culture by Tabac: Egypt Dreams Eau de Toilette purely by chance. And then this fragrance completely blew me away, making me want a bottle of it so badly! It is so beautiful! What's interesting is that the scent starts off rather masculine but definitely ends up being unisex. The longevity is really great at around 10 hours, and the sillage is also quite decent.
The top note starts fresh and spicy with mandarin, black pepper, and a hint of bergamot. The heart note remains spicy thanks to cardamom and nutmeg, but then becomes increasingly floral. It now beautifully smells of jasmine blossoms, iris, violet, and ylang-ylang. The base then has a sweet, balsamic, and creamy scent of tonka beans, sandalwood, and bourbon vanilla.
Why was such a wonderful fragrance discontinued? It seems to have completely flown under the radar! It was similar with "Extase Latin Fever Man | Mäurer & Wirtz," from which I managed to snag a full 100ml "tester." If anyone has a bottle they no longer need, please let me know!
EDIT 17.04.2024: A big thank you to Jonathan for the bottle! I still find the fragrance successful, but unfortunately, the bottle cannot quite keep up with the manufacturer sample.
