I rarely get complimented on a fragrance as much - and not just by people beyond the event horizon. Powder bomb!

Yes, it's so great - I only really discovered it a few years ago.

I just ordered it because I've only heard positive things. I'm excited to see how it works on my skin.

This is a timeless scent, and above all, you don't smell it on every street corner.

Great, I wouldn't have thought that at all.

I love it too. I have deep emotions for this classic. What Schatzsucher says is true.

This is simply a wonderful scent. Timeless. I've been wearing it quite often lately.

Tosca is fantastic! And the current version of the EdP is still wonderful. Many modern fragrances should try to last over 100 years like this one.

@TreasureHunter
You're so right. It's a shame that young people don't even want to get to know these fragrances. They don't realize what they're missing. 🤔

Thanks for your insight! I see (and smell) it the same way: Whether Tosca will still be around in 100 years is up for debate. But I’d bet a small part of my left pinky that no Xerjoff will make it to that venerable age (by then, Tosca would already be a relaxed 200 years old).

I still have a bit left to test on myself - it's still occupied by someone. ☺️

Oh, I totally get that. The day will come when you can test it. You'll know when.

It is and always will be a true classic!

No question about it. And almost always, I get looks of disbelief when I respond to the question of what smells so wonderful with "A classic: Tosca." "Phew, but that's such a grandma scent!!!" "Well, apparently not, or you wouldn't be so excited right now."

Yes, it was. It is. It will stay with me as long as there's still a little bottle available somewhere.

I can totally see that. Some niche fragrances just can't compete.
Translated · Show originalShow translation
TtfortwoTtfortwo 1 year ago
Just because some little fragrance comes from the "niche" (meaning: completely unknown brand, no more than a few dozen bottles a year, self-taught perfumer mixing it up in their laundry room) or pseudo-niche (big corporation, pseudo-philosophical brand nonsense, quickly put together by a well-known perfumer using their modular system and then artificially limited for many hundreds of bucks), it doesn't mean that every new launch is a true fragrance star ;). Let's check back in 100 years to see which scents still exist!

Interesting statement and comments. I admit I have some biases, so thank you for your suggestions for a change of perspective. 😘

Well, then writing that little sentence was worth it :). I’d be curious to hear your thoughts.

I think Tosca is often underrated and carries a lot of prejudices! Yet, it’s a unique, classic women’s perfume with high elegance, character, and recognizability! All of that for just a few euros!

I often think that anyone who plays around with the old Carons and Guerlains-simply because they have a fondness for classic scents-should at least give Tosca an unbiased sniff. Maybe it will catch them off guard.

Tosca is basically the Tabac Original for women. Always been there and forever underrated.

That's right, my dear Sebastian. And both of them should please stay for a long time!!!!!

If someone has a fondness for classic fragrance signatures, they should definitely give this a try. It might just become a new love.

Very dense, warm, dry, powdery, aromatic. The aldehydes at the beginning are softer and quieter than, for example, in the (vintage) Eau de Cologne and don’t sparkle as beautifully as in my extraits. But it is and remains a wonderful classic - even in the modern EdP version.

Tosca is definitely appreciated by professionals and connoisseurs. For regular fragrance consumers, it will remain a "meh" scent. Drawer open, drawer closed. It's that simple. 😀 For me, Tosca is a soul fragrance.

It's never too late to appreciate the beauty of such a classic fragrance ;). I'm glad, I defend this scent wherever it's needed. Best wishes, Susanne
