But there is also something smoky and earthy about it - this gives the fragrance something deeply profound. According to the description, the smoky-spicy note comes from oak shavings and calamus oil.
At first, the fragrance is light and fresh, but over time the smoky, spicy notes come to the fore.
A classy, striking fragrance in a purist bottle that unfortunately didn't last very long on me.
